At Oxley State School, we recognise that each child has the ability to learn, given effort, time and support. Our motto “Success Through Effort” reinforces this belief. All students are encouraged and supported to achieve their potential academically, physically, emotionally and socially.

The community works towards providing a supportive school environment that provides a safe, caring, orderly, learning environment in which the rights of all students to learn, and all teachers to teach, are supported and protected. This is in keeping with Education Queensland’s Code of Behaviour, Better Behaviour Better Learning. The school aims to develop in students an acceptance of responsibility for their own behaviour and respect for self and other’s personal rights and property.

Our school shares the responsibility of educating children with parents and carers. Parent involvement and participation in the school community is encouraged and valued.
