Students with learning difficulties

Provision of assistance is coordinated by a Support Teacher Learning Needs. Our full-time STLN provides programs for children in all year levels who require extra assistance. Teachers providing extra student assistance liaise closely with the classroom teachers.

Students with disabilities

Support is provided for students with a DET-verifiable disability. Our inclulsive setting offers programs and services, Advisory Visiting Teachers, Speech Pathologists, SEP support and in-class teacher aide assistance on a daily basis.

English as a Second Language

Students for whom English is not their native language receive some program support from a visiting ESL teacher.

Guidance Officer

A guidance officer is on site for one and half days per week and is responsible for assessments, counselling and consulting regarding referral to other agencies for medical, educational and/or behavioural issues.

Student Relationships

Positive student relationships are encouraged through:

  • Our buddy system, which supports the transition of Prep students into the school
  • Pastoral Care groups established for children in Years 4-7
