Swim Club - Oxley Otters
The P&C Association operates the Oxley Swimming Club (Oxley Otters). The club, established in 1980, is a friendly community club for swimmers from 4 years old and up, open to all within the local community and surrounds.

Oxley State School Swimming Pool
When
Every Friday night during Term 4 and Term 1. The pool opens at 6.00pm with events commencing at 6.30pm sharp.
What To Expect
Swimmers can choose races in each stroke in 15m, 25m and 50m, earning points for each event they swim in, and bonus points for beating their own personal best times. Swimmers may only compete in one distance per stroke each club night. Swimmers can be as young as age 4, teens and even some parents choosing to swim. Younger swimmers can have a parent or older club member assist them in the short races, swimming beside them in the lane. At the end of the season all swimmers receive a medal showing their point tally, and the points earners in various categories will win trophies.

The Club Championships are held at the end of Term 1. Swimmers may nominate to swim in as many strokes as they are eligible. The swimmer with the highest aggregate points in their age group over all four strokes will be named Club Age Champion.
Three way carnivals are held to allow swimmers the opportunity to compete as a team away from Club nights. The carnivals are held against other local clubs and are a good introduction to carnivals for new or younger swimmers.
How much does it cost?
Season 2024/2025 clubs fees are:
1 swimmer - $85
2 swimmers - $160
3 swimmers - $225
For existing members, club fees will be invoiced on sign up for the season. New members are permitted to try the club for 3 weeks before invoices are issued.
How to Register
Download the 'Swim Club' App via Google Play or Apple Store. Follow the prompts to sign up and search for Oxley Otters Swim Club in Find Your Club. Passcode 4075 is required. Then click + Swimmer and add the details of the swimmers.
Participant Agreement and Waivers
Once you have signed up, a Membership & Participation Agreement and Waiver will be emailed to you. This will need to be digitally completed before the first night of attendance.
Nominations
To nominate from the Swim Club App, click on Meets, select the club night you want to nominate for, select nominate on the event, select the swimmer and click done. Nominations need to be completed by 6.15pm on the club night.
Volunteers
Our Club Nights could not occur without the wonderful work of volunteers. Each Club Night, a number of roles are required to be filled. These include timekeepers, marshals, tuck shop and set-up and pack-up. All volunteers will be supported with the requirements for each role. Each role is very easy to learn and there is always a team on hand willing to help. Please select your volunteer role when you nominate each week.
