PCL Focus
Manners Matter in the Month of May (and every day!)
This month, the PCL focus is on manners. Manners create an environment of respect, trust and help foster a harmonious co-existence. Demonstrating manners reflects positively one someone’s character. When we use good manners, we are contributing to a more civil society.
At school we are encouraging this by teaching the children
- to say “may I” instead of “can I”
- to use the names of the people that they are talking to
- to say “please” and “thank you”
- to say “good morning” or “good afternoon”
- and to show gratitude.
